the history
Since 1926, Hühnerbraterei Poschner has been a mainstay of the Oktoberfest, known for its golden-roasted duck and chicken. The tent, which is currently in its fourth generation under the Luff family (Christian and Thomas), skilfully combines modern and traditional elements; its 2016 redesign respects tradition while incorporating modern conveniences.
It was the first Oktoberfest tent to receive Bavaria’s “Bayern barrierefrei” seal (2018), demonstrating its leadership in accessibility by providing wheelchair seating, Braille menus, and barrier-free amenities. It has also won Germany’s gold “Dehoga Umweltcheck” for climate-neutral operations, demonstrating its leadership in sustainability.
Poschner’s, which has more than 400 seats, offers more than just its renowned poultry; it’s a place where Oktoberfest joy, history, and inclusivity all come together.
