the history
Kalbsbraterei has been a beloved little tent at Munich’s Oktoberfest since 1973. it is a family-owned gem with rustic charm and outstanding veal cuisine. Erich and Jacqueline Hochreiter (25+ years experienced restaurateurs) have brought warmth, Swiss pine furnishings, and generations of experience to the tent since 2014.
They started in their parents’ sausage and roast firm, then moved on to enterprises such as the “Bratwurstherzl” at Viktualienmarkt and the Nostalgic Carousel Bar. They are now joined by daughter Laura and son-in-law Phil and maintain traditions of warm-hearted welcoming, finest ingredients, and master cooking al fresco, in Alpine-style surroundings that are all warm and scented.
