the history
Heimer, a beloved medium-sized Oktoberfest tent, returned in 2017 after a break. It can now accommodate 300 people instead of 400, but it has added outdoor standing areas for flexibility. The Schmid family owns this tent, which proudly claims to be the festival’s “last authentic poultry roaster,” emphasizing slow-cooked chicken and duck over contemporary diversions like live music.
While keeping traditional dishes like spit-roasted duck with potato dumplings and red cabbage, the menu has grown since 2017 to include half chickens and Paulaner Weissbier. The rustic, music-free atmosphere is complemented by a quaint beer garden, offering a tranquil haven steeped in Bavarian tradition.
Beer
The tent’s menu has been expanded to include Paulaner Weissbier, which will appeal to fans of wheat beer in addition to the traditional Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest beer. By combining tradition and variety, this carefully chosen pair guarantees that each visitor finds their ideal pour.
