the history

The Hofbräu-Festzelt, which was established in 1952, is a busy Oktoberfest tent favorite among foreign visitors, particularly Anglo-Saxons. Famous for its expansive standing room in front of the band during the 1980s, the tent can hold approximately 1,000 visitors.

Adorned with 600 kilos of hops and a floating angel, Aloisius, the tent has a raucous, less traditional atmosphere than the original Hofbräuhaus, although its facade is in honor of its heritage.

Hofbräu-Festzelt Beer

The Hofbräu-Festzelt offers its special Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier, a full-bodied, rich beer well-suited to complement classic Bavarian fare. Deliciously bitter in taste with 6.3% alcohol, the beer is as one-of-a-kind and unique as the Oktoberfest itself.

For non-alcoholic options, guests can enjoy Coca-Cola, sparkling apple juice, or Mezzo-Mix, ensuring there’s something for everyone.
